The Bell Rings . . . Come In! Come In!

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:20 NKJV

“She’s busy as a bee!” We all know what that means when we describe someone this way. And I confess that’s a picture of me a lot of the time. . . flitting here – flitting there –with so much to do!

But there’s nothing more beautiful than when the Spirit whispers, “Stop what you’re doing and come here!”

Like picturing someone caught up in all their “busyness,” suddenly the doorbell rings! The Messenger brings a beautiful gift just for them. All the “busy” is laid aside and the joy of the gift thrills mind, body and soul.

This is Jesus knocking every day to be invited in. And we say, “Come in, Come in!” What a day-changer when we answer the door!

Jesus said, I stand at the door and knock. If you open the door, I will come in and dine with you, and you with Me.

Sharing a meal with Jesus is close and intimate fellowship. In that setting, His words to me are for me alone. Words like:

I take delight in you! I sing over you with joy!
I clothe you with garments of Salvation.
I array you in robes of Righteousness.
You are my prized possession – the apple of My eye!
I died just for you and rescued you from all your sins.
The debt is paid and you are forever forgiven.
There is no condemnation put on you at all.
                        You are free indeed!

Lord, how You love me, and what a privilege to answer Your call . . . may I never have deaf ears to Your Voice.

Martha
