God’s Gift List: Love

For God so loved

John 3:16

Doll (check), 2 pair matching pajamas (check), tricycle (check), video (check), pony??? (I always wanted one!). How is your gift list going this year?

Did you know God has had a gift list since the beginning of time?

Number one on His list is LOVE.

We can feel love, give love, recognize love, know love, and share love because we are made in His image.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness”. Genesis 1:26.

Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8.

God is love in His essential nature and in all His actions.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us. 1 John 4:10.

Because we are created in His image we have been given the gift of LOVE, we can love and know love.

God’s gifts do not have a “Do Not Open Till December 25th” notice on them.

Hurry! Open His gift of LOVE today, now! Do not wait!

Grab handfuls and hearts full of LOVE! Throw it in the air and scatter it like sparkling confetti. Let it land all around you---on your family, your co-workers, neighbors, salesclerks, friends, that person that irritates you, and people who have offended you.

O God of LOVE---Thank YOU.
