Preparation

Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to Him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and His bride has prepared herself.
Revelation 19:7

Today we will speak about the entire preparation for the holiday banquet. There is so much we have to do ahead of time to prepare for a big meal!

First we must write a menu. Next go to the grocery store and buy the food we will need to prepare the meal.  For a day or two ahead I begin making things so there is not so much to do the day of the dinner.  We must time the cooking so everything is ready at the same time. Finally, it is finished and we serve it so all can enjoy eating their favorite foods.

This preparation is similar to what is going on right now with our Lord. He is preparing a huge banquet for His church.  He is instructing His children in His word to do all that is necessary for the feast.  We are being prepared day by day for what we need to change to be more like Him. He is instructing us to share His love with all so no one will be left out.

His menu has been given to all the churches listing what He expects of them. Fruit is being produced in our lives until the time He comes.

We are waiting for the day of His appearance when we will all eat together and feast with the Lamb. He has done the work. He has prepared the way by His sacrifice on the cross.  Now we can just rest and be ready to enjoy all He has promised.

Thank you Jesus for preparing me to meet you.

Sharon
