For he himself is our
peace.

spend five days writing about:

From the pen of Isaiah 9:6-7, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government
will be on his shoulders, and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and
peace there will be no end.
BUT he was pierced for
our transgression, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that
brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
From the benedictus of Zechariah: “because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will
come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow
of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace” (Luke 1:78-79).
From the angels to the shepherds: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his
favor rests” (Luke 2:14).
From the resurrected Christ: Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you. —Look
at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see” (Luke 24:36,
39).
To the indwelling of the Holy Spirit: For the kingdom of God is—a matter of righteousness, peace and joy in
the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).
Till the end of time: “Peace
I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27).
Yes indeedy, HE HIMSELF is our Peace! Thank You Jesus for Your presence in me. As
St. Augustine said: My heart is restless (not at peace) until it rests in You.
