Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness and Gentleness

But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control.
Galatians 5:22-23

Faithfulness will surely bring gentleness. When we are faithful to God, His word, and time spent with Him, we will become gentler. The word faithfulness means those who practice faith. The word gentleness means mildness of manner and disposition. As soon as we practice more faith and stay faithful, we will acquire more of the characteristics of Jesus.

The only way we can be more like our Savior is to be in His presence. He will transform our sinful, self-centered ways. We will have more of Him expressed through us and less of ourselves. He will increase, and we will decrease. Today there are many who do not stay faithful in church attendance or in a quiet time. That is a good way to stumble and fall into ones old ways.
His Word will change us, mature us, and cleanse us if we let it teach us. Once again we must make a choice to remain faithful and to become gentle. Life is full of choices and changes if we are flexible and choose the abundant life God wants for us. Victory comes in all circumstances.  We can handle them and be stronger in these days and times if we remain faithful.
Our Savior showed us how faithful He stayed to the Father even when His life was at stake. He remained a gentle, suffering servant to the end because of His life of faithfulness. Let us be more faithful in the days ahead and allow the Holy Spirit to bring us to gentleness.
Thank you Jesus for your gentle spirit.
Sharon
