Now to the King, eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God,
be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17
Here, in my little Colorado summer town, our valley is flanked on the west by five 14,000+ foot mountains. Their rugged beauty is jaw-dropping awesome.
One morning the clouds were very low and completely blocked the view of them—as though they were no longer there. I could not see them at all. But, clouds did not change reality---they were still there!
Had I been a pilot, ignoring my instruments and radar, depending on only my vision the results would have been a disaster.
Don’t we treat God like that sometimes? “Lord, I cannot see You, I do not feel You now. Lord, haveYou deserted me in this situation?”
He replies, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5).
because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
So trust your instruments (prayer), trust your radar (God’s Word), and trust God’s loving heart. He is and always will be there for you and me because we believe.
Lord, thank You that I can say, with all confidence,You are here with me even though You are invisible.
