The Lord has sought out a man after His own heart.
1 Samuel 13:14
My prayer is “Lord, how can I be a woman after Your own heart?”
When I look at King David, the man God said was a man after His own heart, his life many times was a mess----a train wreck! King David had committed murder, adultery, and murder for adultery. What made him so different that God considered him a man after His own heart?
It was his LOVE of God and his PRAYERS.
David left us his prayer journal. This week we are going to sneak a peek into that prayer journal, the book of Psalm, and see how he did it.
David was brutally honest with God. He did not hold back on anything when talking to God. He told God the good, the bad, and the ugly, because he knew God would handle it. God loves that! That is a high view of The Lord God Almighty.
You already know prayer is a conversation, a dialogue with God. But, have you, like me, only talked with Him in the stilted, ooey-gooey language of a tentative relationship? Well, I want to change that. I want real conversations with Him. Do you?
James 4:8 promises “Come near to God and He will come near to you.”
Will you come with me in becoming a woman after God’s own heart?
Lord, open my heart, mind, and mouth to a closer relationship with You thru my prayer life.
