“Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to sand against the whole land ▬ against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priest and the people of the land. They will fight against you but you will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.”

My first job right out of college was being a design consultant for an Interior Design Firm. I was truly a fish out of water learning how to use my design skills in the “real world.” One particular client came in the office that was in the progress of having a house built for her and her boyfriend. As she was telling us her vision for the house she just happened to mention that her boyfriend was married to someone else and this would be his second home.
Once our client left, I instantly started praying for boldness and strength to stand up for my beliefs regardless if it cost me my job. So, I walked over to my supervisor and handed her the client’s file and said, “I refuse to take this job. I will not help these people because I cannot support their lifestyle.”
My supervisor was very understanding and from then on respected me as a believer in Christ. She did not come to me much for design advice but she did come to me often for prayer and biblical advice. To me, that was the greatest reward.
Dear Mighty God,
Thank You so much that You give us strength and boldness when we need it. Help us never to be afraid to do what is right. Thank You that You will be there to rescue us when challenges come our way.
