A True Princess

“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and find clothes. Instead it should be that of inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.” 

1 Peter 3:3-4

“The Lord does not look at things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” 

1 Samuel 16:7

I have two young girls and I love reading a good story to them. Some of our favorite stories are the princess stories. They not only have a happy ending but the character of each of the princesses reminds me of characteristics I want to have and want to teach to my girls.

We have Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty – all had hardships, heartache and loneliness... yet they continued to show a great deal of kindness and love.

If Christ lives in you then He dwells in you the capability to live your life like these princesses did. In spite of their difficult life and terrible losses they still found goodness in life and joy in their heart. With the Holy Spirit in us, we also posse these qualities

Dear King of Kings and Lord of Lords,

Thank you that by your Holy Sprit we can live a life that is beautiful in Your site. We can show the world what true beauty is, not by how we look on the outside but how our heart looks on the inside. Help us to see that our self worth comes from You and You hold our value very high. Praise God we have this assurance that we will also have a happily ever after ending to our lives for those of us who are in Christ.
