Casting Your Cares

Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you, He will never let the righteous fall.

Psalm 55: 22

My grandmother loved fishing. The weather made no difference to her; hot, cold or even drizzly rain, she would find time to go to the pond by her house and fish. One of the many things I admired about her was her patience while fishing. She would cast her line out on the water and just wait. My grandmother never rushed the moment but trusted in the timing.

Isn’t that what God wants from us? He wants us to cast our cares to Him and trust in Him to work out the details. So, what do you say….ready to go fishing?

Dear Faithful Father,

Thank you so much that you are All Powerful and All Knowing. Praise God that we can trust you with our burdens and our cares. Help us Lord not to cast our cares to you and reel them back, trying to control the situation. Allow the Spirit to gently remind us that you are in control and that we just need patience. We pray that as we wait upon you that our faith is strengthened and our confidence in you is magnified.
