Love’s Pure Light

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David;

 the Bright and Morning Star.

On these last two days of our week together, let’s look at some of the names of Jesus. As we meditate on His names, we can praise Him!  I think that’s a fitting way to celebrate His birthday!

I’m paraphrasing the scripture here. If you want a more complete study, look up the verses in different translations. I’m amazed at how scripture can take on new meaning as you read the same verse in different translations.

Creator. Colossians 1:16. By him, all things were created. 

What do you need Jesus to create in your life? A relationship? Finances? Health? He can do it, you know. He is experienced in creating something from nothing.

Counselor. Isaiah 9:6. For unto us a child is born, and his name shall be called
Wonderful,

Counselor,

Mighty God,

Everlasting Father,

Prince of Peace.

What do you need counsel on? There’s no better advisor than Jesus, our Mighty God and Prince of Peace.

Have you been disappointed by your earthly father or perhaps the father of your children?  Go to Jesus. He’s the ultimate Father.

Whatever your need, Jesus can meet it. Just ask Him, and then watch Him work.
